Training sessions on Sat 9 and Sat 16 at Christleton Primary School

The 'all weather' pitch didn't live up to its name on Saturday morning as the game against Princes Villa Utd had to be called off. The snow on the top was light but underneath it was a layer of ice. Rachel's mum tried it out and after a couple of Jayne Torvill manoevures said that she couldn't keep her feet.

The referee and the County Officers' manager agreed with Rachel's mum's verdict and sadly we had to call the game off.

The good news is that we have two training sessions set up for the next two Saturdays. We have no league fixtures until after half term but there will be a training session from 10-11 on both Saturday 9 February and Saturday 16 February. These will be at Christleton Primary School and will on grass, so please bring boots. Please arrive by 9:50am as we only have an hour. Please keep an eye on this website because plans may have to change if the pitches become unplayable because of the weather.

I am taking orders for the wet weather training tops for those girls that don't have them. They are Prostar tops and come in sizes 28/30, 30/32 or 34/36. They will be around the £24/£26 mark each depending upon size. Please let me know asap if you are interested.

Debbie Kendall at the County Officers club is running a half term coaching session for girls aged 8-12 on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 February. The sessions are from 10 until 3 each day and will take place at Upton County Officers club. Please let me know if you are interested and I will send you a booking form. Alternatively contact Debbie on 01244 310158 or by email at

See you next Saturday at Christleton!
