Princes Villa Ladies 3 Waverton 6

For the first ten minutes of this game you would have laughed if anybody had said it would end up in a nine goal affair. The wind was threatening to spoil things when Lily Worden picked up the ball on the right and unleashed a long shot which beat the 'keeper at the far post. Here we go!

Princes Villa got one back just before half time, the wind assisted shot just going under Darcy.

In the second half the yellow shirts came out with both barrels blazing and took control despite the physical prescence of the Villa girls. Keira, Rachel and Lily combined to provide some great chances for Ellie Riste and she took two in quick succession firing Waverton into a good lead. The Ellesmere Port side got one back before Keira scored and then Ellie Riste got her hatrick and cartwheeled down the pitch in celebration. Olivia Rhodes got one too before Princes Villa's late third.

The result sends us to the top of the table.

Commiserations to Heather who played against Arsenal in the FA Cup on Sunday. Heather played up front and the Blues took the lead, only to make mistakes to let Arsenal back into it. 5-1 the final score.
