We hope to have an article in the Chester Chronicle and Chester Standard this week about the girls set up. We have three competitive girls teams now, which makes us one of the best clubs for girls football in the Chester area. Coupled with excellent coaches (!) and pitches, AFC Waverton is the place to be.
We had a meeting with the Football Development Officer for Chester last week and we will be developing links with local primary schools and Christleton High School. This will involve coaches from our club going into primary schools such as Christleton, Waverton, and Barrow and running some coaching sessions with the hope of drawing girls into a club environment.
